Welcome to Market Drayton

Market Drayton is a market town set in the north Shropshire countryside on the River Tern between Shrewsbury and Stoke-on-Trent. 

It is on the Shropshire Union Canal and has been renowned as the home of gingerbread, which has been baked in the town for over 200 years and is suppose to have restorative powers. Today Market Drayton is famous for its Muller yoghurts and Palethorpes quiches and pies. 

Market Drayton offers a modern indoor swimming pool, skate park, four schools, football club, badminton club, and award winning gardens in Wollerton Old Hall, Dorothy Clive Gardens and Bridgemere Gardens and has Hawkstone Park nearby.   It is twinned with Arlon in Belgium and Pezenas in the south of France.  Its famous residents have included the likes of Robert Clive, Samuel Bourne and Oswald Mosley.

Barbers Market Drayton Branch can easily be found on Maer Lane opposite Morrisons only 20 minutes from Junction 15 on the M6.
