Simon is Head of the Commercial Property Department at Barbers. He qualified as Chartered Surveyor in 1981. He initially worked for District Valuer/Valuation Office in Truro and since 1978 has worked in private practice in Shropshire covering the county, into Wales, West Midlands and The Potteries.

Simon carries out Investment work nationally and has considerable experience in agency and valuation work.

John is a Consultant to the Company and is a highly experienced and renowned commercial surveyor with special expertise in Planning and Development.

He was a key advisor in the Old Hall School redevelopment in Wellington, Telford and has conducted many planning appeals and enquiries. He has been involved in many key property developments throughout Telford Shrewsbury and the West Midlands.

John is a board member of the Telford Chamber of Commerce.

David is a Chartered Surveyor working in Barbers Commercial Property Department. As a Shropshire lad, David studied at Wrekin College and then at The University of The West of England undertaking an Estate Management Degree.

Joining Phoenix Beard Property Consultants in Birmingham 1992, David qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1994, equating to over 20 years experience in the property profession.

David is a member of Telford Business Partnership, Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, Trustee of Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust and Governor of Telford College of Arts and Technology.

Mike Arthan, a Shropshire man has worked at Barbers for nearly 30 years. As the Managing Director of the business he oversees all departments of the firm, and also undertakes private client work.

He is a Chartered Surveyor, a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and a Member of Association of Residential Lettings Agents, and a former member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors National Residential Faculty Board.

Veala has worked alongside Simon Beedles, Barbers Commercial Property, for over 15 years. Born and raised in Shrewsbury she has lived here all her life and knows the area and people well, as well as dealing with customers from all over the Country. She handles all the property management work from organising the carrying out fire risk assessments to repairs and property inspections, together with managing portfolios of properties organising rent collections and services charges.

Sharon has worked for Barbers in the Commercial Department for 2 years, assisting with all aspects of commercial property and PA / Secretary to Chartered Surveyor, David Lowe.

Sharon started her career in Estate Agency over 10 years ago in Preston, where she originates, for a well known Estates Agents with appointed Directors including William Roache MBE and Stuart Hall. She studied at Preston College with a view to becoming a Midwife, where she gained a Diploma and further studied for Computer Literacy and Information Technology.
