Helen is the Residential Valuer for Barbers Wellington/Telford branch and specialises in giving pre-marketing sales advice. Joining Barbers in 2003, where she started as a Sales Negotiator in our Wellington/Telford Branch, she was soon promoted to a Valuer, where she has developed extensive knowledge of the Residential Property Market and the area.

Joy is Senior Sales Negotiator in the Wellington/Telford branch and is the clients' first point of contact. Joining Barbers in 2007, Joy has a wealth of experience in the property market, as well the ability to provide excellent customer service, which has been developed from previous customer service role earlier in her career.
Sophie originally joined Barbers in 2005 as a Sales Negotiator in our Wellington/Telford branch and after a spell away travelling she returned to Barbers in 2008 and is now back in her original role as Sales Negotiator at our Wellington/Telford branch. Since returning Sophie has worked for Barbers sales and lettings departments and so has excellent knowlegde of the property industry. As a member of The National Association of Estate Agents, Sophie is a dedicated member of our team and provides first class customer service and as such drives successful property sales.
Claire joined Barbers as an Administrator. In her role Claire creates sales particulars, prepares local advertising and supports the Residential Sales Team in the day to day running of the branch and is an important member of the team.
Gordon is an accompanied viewer for Barbers Wellington/Telford Branch. If you are unavailable during office hours to show prospective purchasers around your property, Gordon is on hand to assist. He has excellent local knowledge and is informed of all property details before the visit.
Sophie originally joined Barbers in 2005 working as a Sales Negotiator in the Newport Branch and returned in 2009 as an active member of the Lettings Department in Wellington/Telford. Her role includes liaising with landlords and tenants on all aspects of the lettings process, dealing with registering applicants, arranging viewings, negotiating lets and progressing them through to completion.
Sophie is studying for the NFOPP Level 3 Award in Residential Letting and Property Management.
Lizzie is a Lettings Valuer for Barbers established lettings department, spending her time advising landlords on how best to market their properties, as well as finding the right tenants. Joining Barbers in April 2007 as a lettings negotiator, Lizzie has since progressed to Lettings Valuer in our Wellington/Telford office.
As a Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents and with her experience of the rental market, Lizzie is well equipped to provide excellent customer service and offer knowledgeable advice to both landlords and tenants.
Nigel, is an independent Mortgage Advisor for Mortgage Advice Bureau, working across Barbers 5 Shropshire Branches. Nigel has extensive knowledge of his profession with over 20 years experience in the mortgage industry and more specifically 6 years as a Mortgage Advisor.
Mike Arthan, a Shropshire man, has worked at Barbers for over 30 years. As the Managing Director of the business he oversees all departments of the Company and also undertakes private client work.
He is a Chartered Surveyor, a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and a Member of Association of Residential Lettings Agents, and a former member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors National Residential Faculty Board.
Simon is Head of the Commercial Property Department at Barbers. He qualified as Chartered Surveyor in 1981. He initially worked for District Valuer/Valuation Office in Truro and since 1978 has worked in private practice in Shropshire covering the county, into Wales, West Midlands and The Potteries.
Simon carries out Investment work nationally and has considerable experience in agency and valuation work.
David is a Chartered Surveyor working in Barbers Commercial Property Department. As a Shropshire lad, David studied at Wrekin College and then at The University of The West of England undertaking an Estate Management Degree.
Joining Phoenix Beard Property Consultants in Birmingham 1992, David qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1994, equating to over 20 years experience in the property profession.
David is a member of Telford Business Partnership, Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, Trustee of Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust and a Governor of Telford College of Arts and Technology.
Kay is a Commercial Assistant at Barbers Wellington/Telford Branch. Starting at Barbers in 1988 on a Youth Training Scheme Kay decided to leave Barbers to have a family and pursue other interests before returning as Commercial Assistant where she assists with the day-to-day admin of the Commercial department.
Chris as Company Secretary is responsible for the central administration of Barbers, including all financial management.
Linda as Accounts Manager deals with the financial administration of Barbers Property Management Department, dealing with the collection of rent and payment to landlords, as well as working alongside Chris Martin on the general financial management of the Company.
Karen is Accounts Assistant for Barbers based in our Wellington/Telford branch and is responsible for the property management accounts function.
Jason is Accounts Assistant for Barbers based in our Wellington/Telford branch. Joining the Barbers team in 2013, Jason provides general assistance to the accounts function of the firm, including processing and paying supplier invoices, advertising invoices and sales invoices and receipts.
Ellie originally worked with Barbers after leaving university and re-joined the company in 2012. Having worked in Residential Lettings for the last 10 years covering, valuations, negotiation, administration and property management, Ellie’s knowledge of Lettings legislation and property management is proving invaluable to our landlords. Her role is to provide expert professional advice to our landlords on all aspects of residential lettings, with her legal knowledge being specifically geared towards tenant check in and check out procedures, and deposit dispute resolution.
Ellie is fully qualified with the Association of Residential Lettings Agents having achieved the Technical Award in Residential Lettings and Property Management. Ellie is also a qualified member of The Association of Inventory Providers (APIP)
