Excellent recent sales of £300,000 plus properties in the Newport area
16th October 2009
Barbers Newport office reports excellent recent results on residential property sales in excess of £300,000. Branch manager Martin Caswell says “we have had great sales recently of properties in the higher end of the market, experiencing a good interest in any unusual properties that don’t come to the market often and properties that are finished to a high standard. Buyers in this price bracket have been waiting for the right property to come available and in some cases we’ve had two or more buyers chasing the same property. We have found that buyers in this price range have the ability to be able to fund a purchase without too much trouble”.
Martin attributes this boost in sales to his team’s proactive approach to marketing, which includes the use of an extensive data base of buyers; regular advertising in the local press, and a prominent web presence, via the Barbers website and Rightmove, Globrix, Zoopla. He also comments that Barbers networked offices enables the firm to promote properties via its four offices in Newport, Market Drayton, Wellington and Whitchurch, giving all their properties a wider coverage than just one town. This is especially important for those areas that are situated in the middle of two towns, for example Hinstock or Lilleshall and surrounding areas.
The Newport area itself is very popular for a number of reasons such as the excellent schools in the town which include Adams Grammar School, The Girls High School and Burton Borough. It is also well placed for quick access to the M6 and towns including Telford, Stafford and Shrewsbury.
